To end our trip would have been so sorrowful, if it weren’t ending in PARIS! Of all my childhood dreams, seeing the Eiffel Tower in person far exceeded what I had imagined. Walking the streets of Paris and turning a corner, then seeing it in the distance was always a breathtaking moment. Our champagne toast hosted beneath the Eiffel Tower by our guides Lisa and Stefanie, at the end of our trip is etched in my heart. It was the perfect way to say “Au revoir” to each other after such an amazing vacation together. We went to Burgundy for a night, we experienced the Louvre, saw Mona Lisa and Monet, went to Sainte-Chapelle, the Arc de Triomphe, the Palais-Royal Gardens, Notre Dame, we explored the streets of Paris, dined at Parisian restaurants, we lived and loved Paris. I literally cannot wait to go back. With the blessing of the knowledge we gained from our Rick Steves tour, I feel confident to go back on my own, or, on another Rick Steves adventure somewhere else entirely, with the assurance that we will be in good hands!
